Quotation Terms & Conditions
Although we try to make the process of purchasing and installing air conditioning as simple as possible for all our clients, we have detailed below work not covered by our quotation.
If you require any assistance with any of the following, please call our office and we will be happy to help you with either a revised quotation or advice.
For homes with lath and plaster ceilings
We are unable to take responsibility for inadvertent damage caused by the age and nature of this material, however, all possible care is taken.
For homes with low roof spaces and tiled roofs.
If our installer has to crack the ridge capping to install the system the client is responsible for its repair and re-pointing. Please note all care is taken to avoid this and only carried when no other option is available.
All care is taken to minimise cracking when necessary.
Although extreme care is taken it is necessary most of the time for our tradesmen to work on top of your roof. Due to the delicate nature of some brands of tiles and age, if breakage occur our trades will replace any damaged tiles If you have spares on site. If more tiles are required than those available the home owner must provide sufficient tiles. In the event there is insufficient tiles on site the broken tiles will be silicone sealed to prevent possible leakage.
Plaster Ceilings
Due to the nature of some plaster glass ceilings only, the threads of the fibre glass can often pull when cutting through ceilings. Although extreme care is taken when cutting, in some cases this can not be prevented. An extra charge of $50 per outlet and an extra $150 for the return air grille will be charged for hand cutting this material.
Rubbish
All rubbish that is left on site from air conditioning boxes/ components is to be disposed of by the client. Air conditioning WA can not dispose of all items.
External Sheet metal
For homes which can not be accessed otherwise, Air Conditioning WA can arrange where possible for a specialized sheet metal company to fit and install this material at an additional cost to our quotation.
Electrical
Sufficient single or three phase power (depending on the size of the unit) must be available at the existing electrical distribution board, complete with sufficient space available for the location of the required fuses/circuit breakers. Should an upgrade of power supply be required to accomodate the equipment proposed for the installation, ACWA`s electrician can supply this service at an additional cost to our quotation
Insulation
it is reccomened that buildings with air conditioning have the following minimum insulation Values:
Ceiling: R2.5 batts or similar Roof: 50mm anticon
New Construction
If you are buidling a new home and building is to be done in stages ACWA will require 5-7 days notice to schedule any work. Any variations to floor plans will be re-quoted and may incure extra costs if ACWA is not notified within a resonable amount of time.
Please note if you would prefer ACWA to liase direct with your builder we are happy to offer this service.
Owner builder is to supply/provide the folowing;
Electrical services
Supply of suitable single or three phase power, neutral and earth to and including a weatherproof isolation switch adjacent to the air conditioning condenser unit, with a circuit breaker on the switchboard.
Plumbing Services
If drainage is to be concealed, one (1) only 40mm diameter PGI tundish at ceiling level to drain.
Chasing
All chasing neccasary to conceal electrical cabling and control wiring.
Penetrations
All wall and slab penetrations as required for the installation of the proposed airconditioning system.
Bulkheads
All bulkheads as required for the installation of the proposed airconditioning system. (usually minimum of 330mm)
Lowered Ceiling
All lowered ceilings as required for the installation of the proposed airconditioning system.(usually minimum of 330mm unless otherwise specified by ACWA)
Vertical Shafts
All vertcal shafts complete with slab penetrations as required for the installation of the proposed airconditioning system.
